Hello. I backed up the PMC ladder file via RS232 from FANUC controller Series 18i-MB. I tried to open it on a computer, however, it is password protected. I have used getpass app and I have been unsuccessful so far. It displayed only ****************. Is there another way to crack the password?

Thanks for your suggestion. I may have phrased my question incorrectly. After inserting a CF card and powering on the machine, I tried to select an item from system monitor service menu page and this message "MEMORY CARD NOT EXIST. HIT SELECT KEY." appeared.

Hi all could some one please help me with this error,

at the moment that we turn the machine on we had this message
935 SRAM ECC ERROR

We replace a bad battery and the Memory was lost I think we need to restore the SRAM but we don't have files backup previously.

Using Sub-spindle as tailstock tool change problem

Hello,

I'm trying to learn how to use sub-spindle as tailstock on my Hyundai Wia L2600SY lathe with fanuc 0i control.
Now i have a live center on the sub side chuck and used for the B-axis movement:

G0 G54 B-480.
G1 G98 B-497.8 F200.

The problem is that the machine won't allow to change tool if the B-axis is not fully retracted to reference point so i have to move b-axis back to home position in every tool change.
Even in manual jog use the machine alarms if i try to rotate turret when the b-axis is even 0.1mm from the home position.
I'm using G30 reference point for tool change which i have set closer to main spindle.

Is there a parameter to allow rotate turret when b-axis is not in reference point?

intermac 33.3 drainer problems

hi trying to do curved drainer groves on intermac 33.3 but during programing im told there is arc in profile ..I have worked other intermac cnc with no problem of this

I wonder if there is something in settings that is stopping the axis moving and stopping A axis from moving

any help welcome thanks

G84 tapping canned cycle question

Parameter of left hand peck tapping cycle :-

XY- XY position where operation will perform .
Z - Operation perform depth .
Q - Depth of each cut .
R - R plane position .
F - Cutting feed rate
G74 and G84 cycle are used for tapping operation but difference is G74 is used for left hand tapping and G84 is used for right hand tapping .

Based on your explanation to calculate the Feed Rate, the pitch of the thread must be 0.00166mm (2.5/1500); I can't say that I've encountered a thread pitch quite that fine.

Clearly, the Feed Rate in your code is specified as Feed/Rev. In that case, G95 should have been specified. You didn't know that?

You state that this is an example of a Fanuc cycle. Accordingly. you should warn the readers that omitting periods in the coordinate values will play havoc unless the control is set to what Fanuc refer to as Pocket Calculator Mode by parameter, whereby integer values can be specified without a period.

In this cycle bore a hole precisely. When tool is reach at bottom of hole , the spindle is stop and tool is shift from machining position and retract .Tool offset in canned cycle mode is ignored. Here we have the Spambot promoting his web site, still getting it wrong again. G74, specified in your program is Left/Hand Tapping, not a Boring Cycle. First rule of CNC Programming; check your code. Posing it here without checking it, is tantamount to loading the program in the machine, pressing the Cycle Start and hope that it works.

With regards to the Q address for the shift amount, this is control specific; oh. you didn't know that.

If you're going to promote yourself as some type of expert, you should at least explain that your program is going to cut a Left Hand Thread; or weren't you aware of that?

Having the minimum DOC clamped at the same value as the first pass value somewhat negates the advantage of the G76 Cycle; or weren't you aware of that?
